our story -
learn what makes us tick.
Baptist Resources Limited is a charitable company, owned by the Baptist Union on behalf of the Upper South Island Baptist Association (USBA). We provide specialist advice in governance/strategy matters, property development projects, property management, administration, accounting, finance, and hospitality services.
Baptist Resources Limited grew out of Kānuka Hopestill Limited, a charitable company established and owned by Oxford Terrace Baptist Church in 2020 to manage its development activities, property management, church administration, financial administration and hospitality functions.
Over time, Kānuka Hopestill Limited began providing services to other Baptist churches across the upper South Island. This led to conversations about whether the entity was best placed to deliver its outcomes as an Oxford Terrace Baptist Church-owned entity or if it could have greater reach and impact as an arm of the Upper South Island Baptist Association.
In 2023, these conversations progressed into a business case for Baptist Resources Limited’s establishment with the formal establishment of the company in March 2024.
